Appointments update please read

Now that the refurbishment to GP side of the Health Centre is nearly completed, we will be changing the way we offer appointments whilst staying Covid safe we would ask that you still wear a mask when attending the health centre.

From February we will be offering both pre-booked telephones calls and face to face appointments. We have asked our Receptionists to get brief details about your request for an appointment and you will be navigated to the most appropriate Clinician or service which could be a telephone or face to face consultation with either a GP, Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurse, Clinical Pharmacist (deals with medication queries) or Mental Health Worker (deals with anxiety, depression).

Monday is the busiest day of the week in the Practice, so we ask that you bear this in mind when you ring for an appointment. If you have had a problem for a period of time please either pre-book an appointment or ring for an appointment Tuesday to Friday.

We will still be operating our daily Ill on the Day Service where you will be offered a telephone call in the first instance. Please use this service for acute illness only. If you have an ongoing issue or something you have had for a while, please pre-book a telephone or face to face consultation.

Between the hours of 6.00 pm and 6.30 pm Monday - Friday the practice doors will be locked but we do operate a telephone answering service dealing with urgent request during this time.

Please bear in mind that if you wish to speak to or see a particular Clinician you may have to wait a little while as some of our Clinician's work part-time.

We are aiming to provide the best possible care for all our patients so we will monitor how the appointments system works and adapt it as necessary.

We thank you for your support over the last 2-years during a very difficult time for us all.

Hopefully with a newly refurbished Health Centre we will be able to continue to provide responsive and effective care for our patients

Stokesley Health Centre

Since 1 April 2013 has been owned by NHS Property Services. It opened more than 40 years ago and has gone through various changes since opening.

As well as the general practice the health centre also has a large community team which work from the health centre this includes the district nursing service, health visiting service, school health service, midwives and mental health services.

The Health Centre is also used by various community and hospital services which enables patients to be seen locally rather than them travelling to the local hospitals.

The aim of the practice is to provide a helpful and friendly service while continuing to improve the quality and range of healthcare services that we offer to our patients through the Practice.
